Charmaine Craig studied literature at Harvard University and received her MFA in fiction from UC Irvine. Her first novel, The Good Men, published by Riverhead Books (Penguin), was a widely reviewed national bestseller and translated into six foreign languages. Her second novel, Miss Burma, published by Grove Press, was longlisted for the 2017 National Book Award for Fiction and the 2018 Women’s Prize for Fiction.  Professor Craig has written for venues including The New York Times MagazineNarrative MagazineDissent Magazine, and PBS NewsHour, and brings to the classroom a passionate interest in forms of narration.
